JOHNSON MATTHEY NY OFFERING 1 OZ FREE PLATINUM OR PALLADIUM AND MORE TO FOUR WINNERS OF 2012 SUSTAINABLE DESIGN AWARDS
Johnson Matthey NY proudly announces the 2012 Sustainable Design Awards, now in its second year. Times are tough and we recognize that starting to build your portfolio in platinum and palladium isn’t easy. But right now there is a buzz around platinum and palladium and we want to sustain and develop the design and manufacture of jewelry in these white precious metals. This is why we are once again offering a fantastic prize package, and have expanded the competition, to give a unique opportunity to four winners across two categories, Platinum Love and Palladium Expression!
We want to give emerging designers, whether working independently or for a manufacturer or retailer, the chance to design a new and unique piece in platinum or palladium. To help you get started, each of our four winners will receive 1 troy ounce of platinum or palladium – that’s 20 pennyweights – from Johnson Matthey NY to help them make their design. That’s in addition to an already extensive prize package worth $30,000 in value, co-sponsored by Platinum Guild International, Palladium Alliance International, Carrera Casting Corp., Rare Creative, and MJSA.
Remember, to enter the competition you only need to submit a drawing, CAD file, or photograph to sustainabledesign@jmusa.com. Only the competition winners will need to make the winning pieces – which will be showcased at an exclusive invitation-only cocktail party during MJSA Expo on March 15th at the exclusive Soho, New York City venue Kittichai. You have until December 2nd to enter for your chance to win 1 oz of platinum or palladium and a $500 grant to produce your design, plus lots of other amazing prizes to help you on your way as a new designer and make one of those four winning pieces!
